On one of my older tablets, now used for grandkids, I had to clear the cache in Chrome in order to get to the wifi login screens, when I was traveling. A pain but it worked.

A lot of good advice above. Im a fan of the Panasonic Lumix series. Perhaps something like the ZS70K for the ease of use, compact and with good features. Or, though getting pricey, a ZS200 which packs a lot into it.

What neighborhood are you in now? Depending on the neighborhood, a move now may not be in your best interest.. Lincoln Pk, Lakeview, Wrigleyville etc, are stable and staying put might be recommended. Albany Pk, Belmont Cragin, Austin etc, maybe not.

Get a battery tender for sure. Modern cars with all the electronics are constantly drawing power, making the battery dip below the required voltage to crank. Short trips, not getting the engine up to normal operating temperature for 10 minutes or more, are killers too!

I have sound and I can see a little picture but mostly black. I assume it's a LCD type screen? Press the menu, can you clearly see the writing/menu prompts? I agree, unless you are towing or off roading these are not really around town vehicles and have a truck like ride. In addition, they are dated in design. Personally, I would look at the Pilot again or a Highlander.

Is this a trip to more or less bond with the grandparents? If so, WDW, Legoland, U.S. etc would not be my choice, too many distractions. At ages 70 and 65 most that age are not interested in these places and more importantly, are your parents up to all the walking involved?

If it's for Disney world, no. If it's for international travel, definitely as it offers some of the best educational opportunities around. We've done it, international, and had them write a paper about their trip to help them focus /remember and satisfy the teachers if needed.

Slim pickings that time of year. Warm weather being limited to Hawaii, Fla, AZ and possibly Tx the Padre Island area. St Pete Beach or Clearwater being on the gulf side is a possible choice, though weather can be iffy.

Depends if it is a attached or detached garage and their style. We've done the rectangular panels as it goes well with our home. A door with windows wouldn't look good and would be out of place in the neighborhood.

Get both. Some drivers drive for both. Both sometimes run specials True, most drivers here in the Chicago area will drive for both, no real difference imho. A fare difference may occur when they implement surge pricing. For tipping, uber will ask you at the end of ride if you want to include a tip....
