Lots of little ones I learned from but this was the most recent: $3,000 deposit to special order a BMW with an estimated 3 month build time. Cancelled the deal 2 months later as circumstances changed (I relocated closer to children). Asked for the deposit back, they said no, I moved on.

No silly questions here. I had the same 4-fund portfolio as the OP. Recently dumped international bond into Total Bond fund. My international bond was 8% of the total portfolio and didn't see the need to keep such a small percentage fund. It's also easier to rebalance 3 funds rather than 4 :happy .

I don't know how often Vanguard rebalances. Probably daily. I use individual funds but follow VSMGX asset allocations. You will get many opinions here on how much international to hold. I rebalance on my birthday.

Weber propane grill, 12 years old. Always covered when not in use. No rust. Replaced the AAA ignitor battery 6 years ago - I'm not sure why the batteries last so long! After grilling and when the grill has cooled down I clean the grates with a wire brush and lightly coat them with vegetable oil.
