We have a friend who works with a wealth advisor in LA who had a portfolio filled with Stone Ridge Funds and the performance over the past few years has been pretty miserable.

We've had a lot of success, but we have only dealt with one sponsor over the past 20+ years and about 15 multifamily buildings in and around LA. Others have been less fortunate.

We have four trusts with Schwab acting as the corporate trustee and have been very happy with them, all of those trusts had Northern Trust as the corporate trustee before and we were not happy with NT at all.

I usually just write some advice on a hotel notepad and put it in an envelope, which my wife seems find away to throw away and replace with a fancy card and between $200-$500 depending on how close we are to the person.

I appreciate Larry and his contributions. I think that most of the attacks were based on his views on the Stone Ridge Funds, which is a shame since I enjoyed the debates on the merits of those funds.
