Just use the same steps as you did before. This is a simply a 40c Roth conversion. No issues or concerns for you at all in doing so.

Re: Dividend in t-IRA after Performing Backdoor Roth

Thank you! I may be over thinking this. I'd like to get this cleaned up now. Is it a matter over just transferring (I'm on Fidelity) the $.40 from my t-IRA to my r-IRA?

Dividend in t-IRA after Performing Backdoor Roth

Hi all - A few weeks ago, I performed a backdoor Roth IRA contribution by maxing my t-IRA and then doing a Roth conversion to my Roth IRA. Re: General Questions about Portfolio after switching jobs

Thank you again! I feel that I understand the basics, just lack the confidence sometimes :) Throwing my ideas/thoughts on this forum helps re-affirm things for me! You mention that moving my pre-tax dollars to my new 401k and moving the Roth dollars into my Roth IRA is possible. But is it advisable?...

Re: General Questions about Portfolio after switching jobs

Thanks Paul. I'll definitely need to do my homework to make sure that I'm doing this correctly! Yes, this would be in a taxable account. We'll have extra money left over each month and would like to start gradually investing in a taxable account since we max our 401k's and Roth IRA accounts. Taking ...

Re: Portfolio Review Request

Thank you very much for your input! We were always opposed to buying a starter home because we wanted to avoid the transaction costs of buying then selling and then buying again. However, you shed a completely new light on the situation by mentioning that we probably don't need our 'settle-down' hom...
