Re: How much worth house should one buy?

I think it's a reasonably smart thing to do with the money as opposed to things like travel which become worthless as soon as you come home. And the house just keeps on giving in terms of enjoyment for many people, while travel is gone in an instant beyond some photos. not to derail the thread, but...

The Uber business model was built as a cashless & tipless experience. The entire point was to know the price to get from point A to point B before you got into the vehicle.

Yeah, I just do not see how this is sustainable.... The CEO thinks that people will buy the pass and then enough customers who watch 1 or fewer movies per month will balance out and cover all the people watching 1 every day/week/etc. I do not see how this ends well. considering the longer term play...

All depends on how you do it. My credit card "spend" has (sometimes vastly) exceeded my annual income for the last five years. Can you explain how your credit card spend has exceeded your incoming for 5 years? Reimbursed business expenses is one that quickly jumps to mind. I regularly put $1500-$20...

It wouldn't be surprising to find folks who've done well the last few years through stock-picking. Chase typically won't approve new credit cards ( there are exceptions ) if you've already had 5 new cards opened in the last 24 months. this is the most important part of ...

Say someone's card limit is, on their request, reduced from $10k to $3k. Isn't it somewhat safer to carry around a card that, if lost or stolen, whoever took it could only possibly access $3k (instead of $10k)? Of course, cards have fraud protection so this is probably a minor issue, but it could b...
