Re: FreeTaxUSA Backdoor Roth - Getting double taxed

Re: Job is starting to suck the life out of me.

Could you be burned out or depressed? Maybe you could do something to enhance personal resilience/wellness. Sounds like a change in workplace culture would help, but waiting around for that is tough.

Re: Cash Back or 0% Financing

What is the term of the 2% loan?

Re: Why bother with IRA's if 457(b)?

As mentioned, restrictions on rollover/distributions if you leave your job is something to consider. I ended up deciding to max my 457(b), but I think I'll be facing a large tax bill if I change employers.

Re: Things to do in Iowa/Nebraska

Another vote for a stop in Iowa City between Dubuque and Des Moines. Re: Would you take a 25% pay cut for more professional satisfaction?

I think I would, but that seems like the kind of thing that is easy to say and difficult to do. I suppose 75% of a big number could still be a big number.

Re: Transcription Services

The radiologists I've worked with seem to have a better time with voice recognition software than others. Not sure if that is because they are using a better program or a more easily trained/understood vocabulary. I use Dragon daily with decent success, though I think it's been the dragon that has b...
