Linus 4.5% — what is this?

Heard an ad for them on the radio.

https://www.getlinus.io/

Their site tells you that your investment is not protected by FDIC/SIPC.

It sounds like they are investing in higher risk loans? They say they have up to 150% collateral.

I’m not sure, can someone clarify the risk here?

Thanks!

After a lifetime of my hands smelling like gas, air filters every couple years, spark plugs, oil changes, I can honestly say I don’t miss the gas mower at all. This 80V model mulches well. Re: deducting expenses from a $0/month lease

deducting expenses from a $0/month lease

I have a house that I inherited in 2019. After we cleared it out, I allowed my nephew to move in for $0 a month provided he works on getting the place cleaned, repaired, and some updates. I had him sign an actual lease. Am I legally allowed to place this property on Schedule E, show $0 rent, and ded...

where would you start a new investment in an S&P500 type Index Fund?

Hello. If you were starting fresh today and didn't have any established relationship, where would you open a new Index Fund account? Something that follows the S&P 500 or very similar. I assume criteria would be: convenience of access; costs; reputation and history of the firm. If it matters, I'...
