Re: Front load washing machine recommendations

We switched to Speed Queen about 5 years ago and have never looked back. Not really a household name, but this is the brand you will often see in hospitals, laundromats, military, etc., essentially any place that needs solid performance and lots of cycles with minimal maintenance. We bought a top l...

Re: Polywood Patio Furniture

we bought 4 adirondacks and 2 side tables 2 years ago, money well spent. we have a lighter tan color and they rarely look dirty, only when pollen sits on them and then we just wipe them off with wet towel. look great, easy to clean and comfortable. we ended up buying the set on wayfair as it was the...

Re: Advise what to do after receiving email from Hacker trying to extort money

I received the same email yesterday. It was pretty believable at first but the password they had was old, lots of spelling errors and sounded like a 10 year old wrote it. Apparently it's been around for a while but this one came from a legit looking outlook email address and didn't get caught in the...

Re: Replacing Cable TV with Streaming: Critical Analysis

We were tired of haggling with Verizon last year and switched to Comcast month-to-month internet for 39.99 and Youtube TV 49.99. Bought our own router b/c we were also sick of the nagging 12/month rental from verizon/comcast. We like Youtube TV b/c of the local sports not on some of the other stream...

Re: Google Wifi Mesh 2 Pack vs. TP Link Deco 3 Pack

We have a Linxys velop 3 node system at the recommendation of a friend. works great. I'm sure google version will work just fine, actually either will probably work fine but better support from google should you need it

Re: Things to do in Maine

We went on a Boston to Bar Harbor trip this past summer....what a blast. My wife wanted to stop in Freeport to check out the LL Bean headquarters. Was a long drive from Boston so this helped break the drive up. Bar Harbor is a neat town with lots of good restaurants and just to walk around. Acadia w...

Re: New England travel ideas, summer 2019

We made a similar trip this past summer. Two boys, 11 and 8. Went to Boston for a few days and caught a Sox game and did the usual tourist stuff. I've been there plenty of times but first time for the boys. They liked it but I could tell were getting bored after a long day. We then drove about 4 hrs...

Re: VW Atlas

my wife was in love with the ascent until we checked it out in person at the philly car show. the 3rd row was incredibly small and overall didn't feel much different then the outback. had a pilot for years and loved it. really like the older boxy style compared to the new model though.

Re: Plumbing problem hose bibb

Just had the same problem on the shutoff valve for my washer. The knob would turn but no water came out, actually was "cleaning" everything in cold, since hot was closed, for months and never knew it.Turned out the valve was stuck in the closed position but the knob still turned. Replaced the entire...
