Allowed transactions, e.g. perform an in-plan Roth conversion, are defined in your employer's 401k Summary Plan description.

My prior employer's 401k plan only permitted Roth conversions to a self-directed brokerage account.

Were you able to port the complete FF profile to Waterfox? By "porting", I assume you mean to convert the existing profile.
