I use Dark Sky. It's $4, but completely worth it because their hyperlocal weather lets you predict weather really accurately. So it's real-time, useful weather.

I am a big fan of Sonos + Apple Music (or Spotify). With Sonos, you have flexibility to set up different zones and using different products (their speaker products or your own speaker set up). You can then control a huge library of streaming music via your phone or laptop. Easy peasy.
