2020 was a wild ride, but we managed to stay the course and rebalance when needed.

AZ resident here. We use the AZ Fidelity 529 plan. We have tied Fidelity VISA card with 2% rewards to the account. Changing http to https seems to have fixed the #N/A issue I had with bigcharts. I was getting intermittent prices and not getting day change at all. Added the s and it all came right in. We had the dreaded "Payment Status Not Available" since the IRS put this up. I have been checking it every day. Today I was able to enter AGI and the amount we paid along with banking information.

I work for a fairly large water utility in the desert. Here is a stat that may put your family's water use in perspective. 80% of our single-family customers use less than 10 CCF or 7,480 gallons per month. I think your family's water use is pretty average.

We use the Fidelity AZ plan for our 529 needs.
If you are an AZ resident you can utilize up to a $4,000 state tax deduction.
It is a cheap option for age-based index funds.

My 457 plan is at ICMA also. I love it. Vanguard fund options with dirt cheap ERs.
I wouldn't use them for an IRA though. Vanguard is the place for me.

We did a no cash refi last month with Sebonic (Cardinal Financial). We were told it was going to be $575 for the appraisal. We paid it. The next day we received a refund. They notified us we qualified for some sort of government program (not HARP) where no appraisal was necessary.
