We paid off our mortgage last week. We are entirely debt free. Just happened to fall on our 30th wedding anniversary! Both 61 & retired. What a gift! We did celebrate with real pizzaria pizza & a Carvel Ice Cream Cake. So in this case, yes we did reward ourselves.
