Re: How to Get Rid of My Unauthorized “Two Year Contract” With Verizon

I had an issue with Sprint and I used the arbitration clause in the contract. Worked great. Below is a link to Verizon’s.

Re: Who uses Schwab and what are the up and downsides?

I used Schwab from college until 3 years ago when I used Vanguard to consolidate several accounts. I genuinely appreciate the investor owner mentality of Vanguard but I miss the cash management features of my Schwab account, the securities lending line and their service was top notch.

Don’t forget legal documents. Make sure your kids have set you up so that you can talk with the school directly.

That whole interview was little more than a word salad.
I agree but I was astonished at the carelessness of her rhetoric.

Re: VGSTX: Is Vanguard STAR Still A Star?

I have 7 figures in it. Simple, easy to forget. They do all the work and 35 basis points of out-performance over the last 15 years. Beautiful. I worry about the long bond position but not too much. Every time I think about changing it, I end up keeping it. http://performance.morningstar.com/fund/per...

Re: Buckingham Strategic Wealth Advisers- virtual or local?

This is really a personal decision. To me, the greatest value with an advisor is the behavioral coaching and guidance they provide. Distance diminishes the effectiveness and ability of the advisor to provide discipline to the investor. If you feel you need a full-service advisor, you should have one...

The Geico policy does not appear to have uninsured motorists coverage. Make sure you are comparing like coverages. You can find an independent agent using the following website.

Re: tennis ball machine recommendations

While I have a ball machine and have made great use of it, I agree with the other users, the ball machine at your club is the best ($150/year for me). I have an I-Sam which works great but it is a battery model. Nothing is more annoying than a dead battery when you are just getting your stroke down....

Generally speaking, whomever does your auto insurance should be someone to get a quote from. Umbrella pricing varies greatly depending on individual circumstances and location. A good provider of umbrella insurance is RLI. I have included a link below that you can use to get a quote online. https://...

There's a fair amount of information on the website in regards to capabilities and pricing. When I dealt with them previously, I had the initial appointment set up using my flagship rep and had no problems. If you have one, try that.

Re: Anyone choose a nanny over daycare?

We used a nanny for the first three years at which time our kids entered a formal preschool program. It was awesome. You have a lot more control and direction on the activities that your child participates in. They generally are more flexible than any daycare center would be. We hired our nanny righ...
