I bought a 2012 Q5 in 2013 with the 2.0 engine. It had 25k miles on it and I have put 23K more miles on it. I have had no problems with it, and am satisfied with the engine and the quality of the vehicle. :D

Because if the average person can put his retirement money in index funds over the long hau...

Nay.
We had one and found it too smoky to sit around. With no chimney to direct the smoke above your head, it moves into your eyes and clothes.
We use ours now as a planter for flowers.

Re: Vitamix vs Blendtec

I have a Blendtec, and I have used it over 660 times in nearly two years.
It is worth it to get a powerful blender. The green smoothies are a great way to start the day after the coffee.
Don't settle for a cheap blender, it will not work as well as the Vitamix of Blendtec.

I think you misunderstand. The companies are american companies that open a token office in Europe to avoid corporate taxes in the US. They do not move to the US from Europe to employ anyone.

60 Minutes story on US companies with "foreign" he

Last night 60 minutes did an interesting story on how US companies adopt foreign offices or even just mailboxes to list them as their headquarters in order to evade the 35 % corporate tax rate in the US in favor of lower tax rates in other countries. Many companies will effectively "move their offic...

None of the Ira contributions were tax deductible as I made more than the income limits allowed by law.

Cost basis for traditional IRA? (for conversion to Roth)

This year the traditional IRA can be converted to a Roth, without regard to income status. I have pondered doing this but wanted some assistance in calculating the taxes from a CFP (certified financial planner). She asked me for the cost basis for the IRA, and I was surprised to find out Vanguard do...

Automobile extended warranty for used car?

We purchased a used car this weekend from a dealer, a two year old car with 25k miles. I know extended warranties...
