This too shall pass. Emotionally, (at least for me) it helps to put some visual quantification into the "stay the course" strategy. Interesting plots and thanks for the effort. Assuming I understand how you constructed these, it seems one reason this info isn't all that indicative of what an investor can expect is that it's a "single lump sum and wait" (i.e. buy once and hold), while a typical investor is investing smaller amou...
