Yep, same when I bought my F150 a couple years ago. Major discounts for using their lender. Put the largest down payment they allow, then pay it off at the first or second payment. It'll take them a month to even get your account in the system. I think I paid $50 interest on the loan.

Re: Roth IRA - Suggestions Needed

Interesting. I do have a pretty good 401k at work so rolling it over there might just be easier at this point. So I get this right, I'd first be rolling my tIRA into my 401k (solo or megacorp). Then I'd recharacterize my Roth IRA contribution from January into a tIRA. Then, some number of days later...

Re: advice on roth, backdoor roth, mega backdoor?

A Roth 401k is not a megabackdoor. Depending on your plan, there could be one, two, or all of these options for adding funds: pre-tax (traditional), post-tax, and Roth. Pre-tax reduces your taxable income and you get taxed when you withdraw. Roth gets taxed when you make the money but does not get t...

I use both. ETFs give me some excitement when setting a limit order and waiting for it to execute but they do require more attention when exchanging. x2. I have a Vanguard Roth IRA and performed a megabackdoor with Fidelity early this year. The megabackdoor is essentially a rollover and does not count as contributions to the Roth and doesn't care if you already have IRA's set up. If you roll your Fidelity after tax 401k into a Vanguard Roth IRA, ...
