To time the market is simple.

We bought our last set of tires at WalMart for my wife's car. For my car, NTB had buy 3 get one free OEM tires so they were lots cheaper there.
Both way cheaper than Costco and looking today they appear considerable cheaper than Discount tire for my wife's car.

I'd love to put a boot on the pipe, but it's about 24 feet up and the roof is hipped so very steep.
I'll call around and see if I can find someone to do it.

The skylights are very high up, there's no way I can maintain them.

You don't say where you are located. If you are in an area of weather extremes, intense sunlight, bitter cold etc..., this will impact the roof material. I say, where's the Maker's Mark they say "over there, but it's not on sale. Maker's Mark never goes on sale".

Do I need to buy a title?
I've never had a car without a title.
If I trade the car in (am thinking about this) it's no problem the dealer will handle it right?
However, if I sell it to a private party I need to buy a title?

Paid off car loan, Fifth Third says no need for a title

My wife paid off her car loan about a year ago. Fifth Third said that we don't need a title they'll just check the VIN to see that it's ours, but I've never heard of such a thing. :shock:
How am I suppose to sell this car if I need to without a title?

Information on fund comparison has been passed along to the wife.

Still doesn't like that with her current plan, she can't select which fund(s) to withdraw from - it has to be a percentage of the entire portfolio.

As others have said, you can get equivalent returns if you pick the right funds at Fidelity or Vanguard. If your wife has concerns, why fight it and just give in to her and move her money to one of them. It doesn't sound like her company plan is worth staying with. One job I had was at Fidelity and...

Looking at a chart of VWEAX since 2010 when I bought it, it appears the price has gone from 3.20 to 5.76.

Let's say life expectancy is 84.
You take SS somewhere between 62 and 70, normal is 66.
If you wait till 70, much of SS is taxes away because of RMD, no?

Yes, got my latest statement, just says "not recorded yet" for last years earnings.
Anyway, the rest looks fine.
I'll be eligible for benefits in January, still haven't decided to start then or not.

Thanks for the feedback.
Probable take usual distribution later this year as needed.
Could take SS this January at 62, but think I should wait to 66 based on reading at Vanguard.
The emergency fund is 50k about a year's spending and true this, not an emergency.
Am retired, getting used to it.

Brake fluid doesn't circulate like radiator fluid. The fluid in the lines doesn't come in contact with the air.
What I have read, and what I do is pump out and change the fluid in the reservoir that becomes contaminated from moisture in the air.
