I had loomis before. I liked it a lot before the 2009 meltdown :-). Then it dropped with everything else so not much of a hedge. According to a lot of folks it is not a good asset class to have.
Even now it hasn't recovered fully compared to S&P500 etc. (based purely on NAV)

Changing locations of S&P500 and International ETF

Presently my taxable account is heavily skewed towards S&P 500 whereas my international is in 401(k).

Ideally I'd like it swapped (due to foreign tax credit)

Unfortunately if I sell my S&P 500 I will owe a huge tax bill since its gone up quite a bit since I first bought it.

Any suggestions?

kjvmike: are you saying that once something goes into collection there is nothing one can do. It remains on your credit report and presumably lowers your FICO score. Does the lowered FICO score impact your ability to get mortgages etc. This is the first and only time something like this has happened...
