My strategy is to meet as many signup bonuses as possible. Keep the card for a year (except Citi AA) and either cancel or downgrade to a no-fee card. I heard Cap One will pull from any one of the three CRA's. I made a rookie application mistake, but somehow it worked out. I was looking at my spreadsheet to see when I had canceled my Alaska business card. Have you tried it multiple times with the Barclay AAviator card? I just read on their website and the fine prints reads "This offer is available to new cardmembers only" for this exact card.. If you close the card and open a new one you are a new card member. I don't really care about AA miles, but...
