We have ventilated seats in our current cars (a Hyundai and a Volvo). I wouldn't say it's a tremendous feature, but it definitely does help in our Atlanta climate when it's at max setting. I notice it a lot more when I'm wearing shorts.

I considered the XS Max, but couldn't justify the $400 premium over the 8, so I purchased the 8. I'm happy with the 8, and it's obviously much faster than my four year old iPhone 6.

I have a 4 year old iPhone 6 that is on its last legs. I'm likely moving to the iPhone 8 in a few weeks. I had considered the XS as I like new tech, but just can't justify the $400 premium over the 8. Plus I have small kids that I don't want near a $1k phone.

We recently booked a Disney Cruise with Costco Travel. They came in at the same pricing as the official Disney booking site, but Costco throws in a $500 Costco cash card, so that made the decision easy. They also had great customer service.

I told my wife when we hit the number. She basically just said "that's pretty cool". We definitely didn't celebrate, but I will admit it feels nice personally. It did change my money philosophy some, as I don't stress as much over spending.

I like higher quality clothing but only purchase them during big sales. Slickdeals will give you alerts when places like Brooks Brothers are having huge discounts. For the biggest deals though, you have to be comfortable shopping online.

All three of those are truly nice cars, and it's hard to go wrong with any of them. It really comes down to doing test drives and determining which one wows you the most. We have an AT&T bundle (Directv + Uverse internet). The main thing to remember is that Directv is excellent about giving huge discounts if you call in and threaten to cancel. There is a long thread on SlickDeals.net discussing this. You basically get 50% (or more) off your DirecTv bill.

We've always bought new Asian cars and kept for 10+ years. We also buy fully loaded as I like the tech features and having all of the safety options.

With our next car, we are (gasp) actually considering leasing a European car. We'll see if I actually go through with it.

It's a common theme on this board (and others) that German brands are unreliable. But now CR has Audi at #2 and BMW at #3? I've stayed away from German brands in the past, but I'll definitely look at them if quality is that high now.

Comfortable clothing. It doesn't have to be a name brand, but I pay more for soft and comfy clothing.

Artisan bars of soap. There are tons of small brands out there and I enjoy trying them for variety.

I love Slickdeals, but I stay away from the Front Page deals. As you said, there is a lot of sponsoring that goes on there. The best place to find true deals is their Hot Deals forum. If you get lucky, you'll get in on great deals before they hit the front page.

I love the look of luxury station wagons (Benz, Audi, Volvo). There is a guy at work who drives an E63 AMG wagon and that car is great looking. Of course, the wife laughs at me any time I bring up a station wagon :wink:
