Seems the sentiment I have read is that taxes under the current tax law may never be this low again, so do the Roth as in the future rates will only be higher. YMMV

Look closely at the FEES . This has pushed me away in past years. I could be wrong but I believe a total price is always quoted including fees when you start to book, so ultimately nothing is hidden. The original stated price is often much lower. My issue was...I used it once...then a year/two late...

if the frame is compromised many companies will total the vehicle. I know this, move quickly before that father disappears and/or starts to deny (as no police report etc) and you're stuck paying for this issue.

House is moderate value (maybe 100,000, maybe less) in a LCOL suburb of a metro area in the midwest, and is unlikely to appreciate in value based on location Your words.
