Re: Flying first class, business, versus economy.

If I can afford Business for long haul I am staying home. Best investment ever. You save nothing by flying economy. It makes the entire trip fun. When flying domestic my thinking is opposite.

Re: Disabled shareholder

Sorry to hear of this situation. This is where Key Man or Disablility insurance would have really been helpful. Comes down to whatever is in his employment contract. If there is no Contract then it will be a negotiation between shareholders. If they need to hire somone to replace the work/ labor he ...

Re: Well-made quality handbags

Like clothing, and shoes, the more you pay for a hand bag the longer it lasts. You can make fun of LV and the like but, in the end they outlast you. You get what you pay for. Buy a cheap bag and you will replace it every few years.

Re: Short visit to Hong Kong - "must do/see"?

I have lived there for the past 17 years. Do not stay in or even go to Kowloon except for taking the star ferry trip to and fro. It's for tourists and the hotels over there are crummy except for the penninsula. You won't regret and will require to stay in one of the five stars in central or admiralt...

Re: Living abroad, filing US taxes, few ?s

I have lived abroad for the past 16 years. Almost exact situation as you. If your only making 110,000 total you wont need to pay any tax at all. You just need to fill out loads of IRS forms. Find a good Accountant specializing in US Expat tax and let them handle it. They will charge about 750 bucks....
