Air-pod Pros have decent noise cancelling and a pair good of noise cancelling over-ear padded headphones (head muffins?) will fit over top. I prefer the Sony WH1000’s over the Bose. Double noise cancelling. I have loud kids too. :D

If you enjoy researching and following individual companies then by all means go for it. If you don’t enjoy the work and just after some alpha, I’d stick with the index funds. There is FOMO on the other side when your picks aren’t working out and the indexes keep on steadily climbing too.

About 10% from remaining mortgage. We have around 70% equity in the home and I haven’t been motivated to pay it off until closer to retirement.

No escrow here. Pay the bill in full every year when it arrives. To me escrow is the same as pre-paying too much income taxes and getting a refund a year later. I’d like to control as much of my capital as possible and pay my bills when due instead of lending to somebody else interest free.

What is there to discuss? Use the bypass cartridge or order some filters in bulk.

Consider yourself lucky they included a bypass cartridge with the fridge. My fridge column only uses water to make ice that we don’t even use, and i had to buy one separately.

International Developed Markets (VEA) is outperforming VTI again today by a full percentage point. Certainly makes it easier to hit the Buy button to maintain allocation on this stuff when its winning. VEA is still -4% YTD, whereas VTI is +10%. Oh i know. But it hurts less on weeks it’s beating VTI...

Stocks do go up down and sideways. Nobody can say what direction we'll be heading tomorrow, as was proven just days ago. I don't intend to tap my taxable portfolio for 10+ years, so i'm staying diversified and staying put and buying more whenever i'm able. :beer

100k per kid is my target, which i don’t expect to cover everything if all three go four years.
