Re: Ally Bank 1 Year CD now 1.65% with 25,000 Minimum

Considering the EWP on these, probably more worthwhile to use the 11 mo no penalty CD at 1.5% from either Ally or CIT. Why risk an early withdrawal penalty for a potential $37 extra taxable interest?

Humanscale Freedom Chair can be found on $300 on ebay often. It's the best chair I've ever used. Only 4 adjustments, back panel height, seat pan height, seat pan slide forward/back, and arms up/down. The back reclines with you as you lean back. Excellent.

Vanguard's ETFs are not more tax friendly in a taxable account than their mutual funds - the ETF and Mutual Fund are just different share classes of the same funds. They're literally the same thing in a different container. If you're not talking about Vanguard, then maybe.

I don't like buying shoes online, so in-person I like Ross, Marshall's, Burlington Coat Factory, and less so Nordstrom Rack. If you put a keyword alert on Slickdeals, you will be alerted to deals on random sites/brands if you wish. I've done all of the above

I've been frozen since an ID theft incident in 2013, I've unfrozen for a single pull via one time pin anytime I've needed to open a new CC or bank account, probably 8 times in 4 years. Each time it's taken 5 min. Never paid a cent to freeze or unfreeze (single pull). CA

Make sure you go into the Paypal settings for the linked card, and set the foreign conversion so that it doesn't charge in USD, but rather the foreign currency directly, that way you get the best rate from your bank/card directly rather than paying Paypal's 3% forex fee. I've never had to unfreeze my credit - the new credit company has always contacted me saying I need to go online and requires a one time pin to let only them check my credit one time, which I've done 4 times now for different issuers, and then the app goes through without a hitch. Credit still frozen.

You can do 'view' access via online form, but if you want edit access to such an account you must do paper form notarized. It used to be online as well but they changed it to notary required.
