Some security policies will allow ping ( ICMP Echo Request ), but block traceroute. If you are connecting to a website that starts with http://, it connects on tcp port 80. I remember hearing about the Facebook IPO on the news before it launched. They said it had an expected P/E ( Price / Earnings ) ratio of over 100. I immediately thought that "Bogleheads do not make that kind of mistake", which makes me smile.

We buy ETF's when they cost less than the mutual fund. This applies to expense ratio, fees, and minimum purchase amount. Isn't that the Boglehead way, keep costs low?

As mentioned, it can depend on the employer plan. In terms of irs view, etc, the answer is yes. I do this with my 401k plan. At least with dividend stocks, shareholders are rewarded with some of the money. The Vanguard High Yield Dividend Index Fund comes to mind.

One of the things that I find reassuring about Vanguard, is that they keep lowering costs for investors. Most recently they lowered the purchase cost for the Emerging Market Index Fund. :sharebeer

Thank you for the suggestion of frozen blueberries. Frozen is now another source for us when fresh are not readily available.

My wife got one of the large bags of them from Sams Club. They have worked well in pancakes and oatmeal so far.
