Asset protection:
Umbrella insurance.
Drive less and use dash cams.
"Give your assets away" with a trust. (usually not a good idea)

True but it could be neutral. Fed bought mortgages thought to be toxic, they turned out not so bad and the Fed made profit and gave it to the treasury. In the meantime they paid IOER to the banks so the banks held onto the cash.

Fed wants to make sure inflation stays around 2% so they are paying you more to hold cash. Read the umbrella policy from your auto insurer to see if it offers protections beyond auto and homeowners. Usually umbrella policies are only extended liability. An LLC/corp is intended to protect your personal assets from the malfeasance of a business partner. Just get umbrella ins (which would be more expensive for an LLC)

Corporations/LLC are for when your business partner(s) screw up, only the business assets get taken, not your personal assets. If there are no business partners, you are responsible for your negligence and are protected by your insurance. An LLC is not a get out of jail free card

The Fed changes the money supply and that causes the banks to change rates. They dont like to phrase it that way because it's illegal (for you) to print money.

These days they pay the banks interest on reserves instead. Is this a subsidy?
