Re: E*Trade no longer offering free real time quotes

That is probably the fee for when you are designated as a "professional user" and want real-time quotes. Otherwise, it's probably still free for non-pro users. Check with the company and find out if you are being designated s pro or non-pro.

Re: Portfolio Review Request - Need Help!

I didn't take a distribution. I did a rollover. The 10k invested into the joint acct at Vanguard was from my bank savings as well. I made my first purchase today. I bought 3k worth of VTSMX in my joint account. I'm in the process of moving 50k from Scottrade to Vanguard to buy some more funds. Gonna...

Re: Portfolio Review Request - Need Help!

Thank you for the advice! I opened up an IRA account and Joint Account at Vanguard this week. I liquidated my Scottrade IRA with the ETFs and I liquidated about 10k of mutual funds from Scottrade self-directed IRA. Moving in 50k to Vanguard IRA and 10k to joint account. Maybe move another 10k in a f...

I have nothing to add that would help you regarding the financial aspect. There are many people on this board smarter than me in that respect.

But I will pray for your husband and your family! God Bless.

Re: How am I doing?

To answer your question about the 401k, I contribute 16% each paycheck (630 every 2 weeks) until I reach 18k and then my contribution automatically changes to zero. My employer matches $0.50 to the dollar for the first 15% of contributions. So I max out at 18k, employer gives me 9k. My salary is 102...

How am I doing?

Hello everyone, I would like opinions on whether I'm being realistic to think I can retire by 62 at the rate I'm saving/investing. Also want to have about 2.5 to 3mil at time of retirement. I earn about 120-150k per year, wife earns about 25-35k (part time). We'll both be working about 20 yrs or so ...

Re: Should I invest in real estate.....here's my portfolio

The condo I co-own in FL is worth about 90k now (zillow estimate), we bought it for 133k in 2006. We see no profit each year and I really don't even think of it as a real estate investment since I only own 25% of the place and it's not worth much to begin with. We have a renter paying us $800 month,...

Should I invest in real estate.....here's my portfolio

I am really interested in investing in real estate, primarily for rental income. I currently have 1/4 of a condo in Jacksonville, FL that we have owned and rented out for 12 yrs now. I am looking to buy a condo in Myrtle Beach, SC for up to 100k max. Here's my portfolio now. If you were me, would yo...
