Vacation - should I rent a small suv

I drive an outback. For a vacation trip coming this summer, about 300-400 miles for 3-5 days, would it be more cost effective to rent a car or just use mine?

I have heard that considering regular maintenance cost, and wear and tear, it comes more economical to rent.

Not sure if that's true.

I think the post is going in wrong path.
Please do not mix these policies with life insurance.

We have term for us. These policies are to cover as they stated. Dismemberment for AD&D insurance high coinsurance and other expenses for accident insurance.
