Very new to investment and want to hear all of your opinions on whether fidelity or vanguard is the better options, and on whether I should go into a total stock market index or s&p500 index? Thanks ahead of time for your perspective!

Re: What do Bogleheads think about Aspiration?

I really like the ideas of affects change in your community in a hyper-local way by donating voluntarily with money and time. That would be great for resiliency of our local communities if everyone were able to volunteer, say like a day a week, in the places in which they lived.

Re: What do Bogleheads think about Aspiration?

Something i did see there that im not as keen on is that they dont seem to use as many index funds. Am I wrong here? Also, here is the prospectus'; https://assets.aspiration.com/docs/fund ... 170131.pdf

I would definitely prefer learning from folks that have more experience in this sort of thing, rather that bombing because I didnt know any better :)

What do Bogleheads think about Aspiration?

Im very fond of investing with Vanguard, but also my values make it hard for me to desire investing with companies that work in fossil fuels and unsustainable commodities. I was looking at companies to park savings and money markets and came upon Aspiration, who also have investment funds. I am new ...

Re: 403b help. New/late to investing

Thank you so much for the perspective. What about investing a small portion of equities into the Vanguard VIF REIT index fund? Same un-boglehead-like qualities to it, and/or is REIT not worth investing in regardless? Another question also, if anyone has some perspective. I am also wanting to buy som...

Re: 403b help. New/late to investing

Welcome to the forum . It's great to see that you have turned your life around, and have only a fairly modest amount of student debt. You are fortunate to have both an employer contribution and an employer match offered in your 403b. In addition to your 403b you should consider opening an IRA at a ...
