Re: Move 401k from previous employer into new or roll into IRA

Re: All of my fund options for 401(k)s and Roth IRA, need assistance to choose best path for growth

After reviewing my current 401(k) contributions, I actually had $7200 over 8 months, and total $9400/yr with employer contributing 3% match starting in July 2017. 1) Ho...

Re: All of my fund options for 401(k)s and Roth IRA, need assistance to choose best path for growth

I will show you how to set it up both ways once you tell me how much of your stock you want in international. The only problem: what i'm reading is international stock should be close to 20% of stock distribution. But as indicated in this thread, why would 20% be necessary if US companies are inter...

Re: All of my fund options for 401(k)s and Roth IRA, need assistance to choose best path for growth

Thank you for the responses. I'll read the information provided about international holdings; however I'm confused with the percentages indicated for the entire portfolio and HOW/where can I indicate in the distribution of all the funds a so-called 3-fund portfolio if my port is 3 entities and not 1...

Re: All of my fund options for 401(k)s and Roth IRA, need assistance to choose best path for growth

Thank you for the updated information. I've recalculated your retirement portfolio so that each fund you hold is shown as a percentage of the entire portfolio. If you learn to look at your portfolio this way, it will be much easier to understand. Taxable <--not included in asset allocation of the r...

All of my fund options for 401(k)s and Roth IRA, need assistance to choose best path for growth

Here is a breakdown of all of my accounts for 401(k)s and ROTH IRA. I'm in a pickle as to where to put my money for retiring in 30 years. Any help would be appreciated. I do have a taxable brokerage account with TD Ameritrade but will not include that as it does not make any $ (stocks). Old 401(k) o...

I'm jumping into taxable brokerage account not knowing what I'm doing, advise please!

Re: Backdoor Roth contribution more than $5500?

You contributed $5500 to Traditional IRA. You converted 5500.84 (rounded up to $5501) to Roth IRA. There is no limit on how much you can convert to Roth IRA. You do not have an excess contribution to IRA. If you were covered by an employer plan like 401k, 403b, 457b, pension etc, your high income w...

I'm a 34 year old M (single) in Seattle, WA (living expenses are unbearable) currently making $94k (25% tax bracket), contributing 10% of pay to current 401(k) with all fund options close to 1%, $5.5k to Roth IRA through Vanguard currently sitting at $25k with nearly 50% of funds in 2050 all-in-one ...
