Re: Auto repair - "Threads getting thin in oil pan drain plu
I was a mechanic for years and when a oil drain was stripped I would use a rubber universal plug. You can check out one of the examples at http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/needa-parts-oil-drain-plug-universal-1-2-inch-m12-65200/5019834-P There are also many other types, stop by the auto parts stor...

Re: How to fight work place bullying
Your wife needs to take back her sense of self. I recommend disregarding what her boss tells her to do when it does not effect the job she is suppose to do. Then when the boss questions her, just say sorry with a straight face, didn't mean to, must have forgot etc... Your wife needs to try and wear ...

Re: Please help me with Obamacare with low income in MO
Your state decided not to participate in free medicaid expansion so those below the 100 % poverty limit will not get a subsidy. The supreme court decided that states could opt out of medicare expansion, even though the Federal Goverment will pay 100 percent of the cost for the first 3 years, and 90 ...

Re: Retire early and save money on health care
My state is not expanding Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. So I have to withdraw at least $11,500 from my IRA to get a subsidy. If my income is below the poverty level I do not get any subsidy help. This gap was caused when the Supreme Court made Medicaid expansion an option to the states. Th...

Re: Retire early and save money on health care
So if I retire at 60 and withdraw around $11,600 from my IRA, and that is my only income for the year, I would get the biggest subsidy from the Federal Goverment under the Affordable Car Act? I have not been able to find a good definition for MAGI concerning the Affordable Heath Care Act. If the abo...

Re: Retire early and save money on health care
If you have an MAGI of less than $11,500 you do not get the subsidy if you live in a state which is not expanding Medicaid.
If you retire and have no income accept for withdrawals from retirement accounts, it would be well worth it to move to a state expanding Medicaid

Retire early and save money on health care
Anyone considering moving to a state that offers Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Health Car Act, to save on healthcare costs and retire before Medicare kicks in at 65?
