just put in enough to get the employer match . 5.5k in roth and 3-4k in 457b is enough on 60k income . wait until your income grows to 300k and you can choose where your money get invested.

Inflation-Linked Bond in 401k or i series bond with treasury

Should one buy Inflation-Linked Bond in 401k accounts when treasury offers i series bonds with no loss of principal .
I have lost money on my cref bonds https://www.tiaa.org/public/pdf/ffs/194408506.pdf where as treasury i series bonds continue to beat it .

are you doing this in taxable account or IRA ? I would simply buy 1/24 now and sell cash covered puts (giving me monthly premiums of 0.4-0.5%, e,g. -SPY170519P226 puts will give you 117-120 ,if it get assigned you will buy SPY at $225 instead for $236 which comes out better than all in at $236 ) exp...

TIAA Sold my PTTRX

all of my Pimco total return ( PTTRX) was sold in 403b and replaced with
Prudential Total Return Bond Fund Class Q PTRQX:NASDAQ expense ratio : 0.46 %

my other two options are Cref bond market and cref inflation linked bond . Should i continue with PTRQX or move it to Cref bonds ?

sell emerging market bond and buy high yield bond ETF ?

last year i got some emerging market bond and it's up around 14% + 5% yield . I am not into timing but feel it's getting riskier . Would it be wise to sell it and buy high yield ETF like JNK ? is JNK less riskier compared to PCY ( emerging market bond) . This is inside my ROTH IRA .

does it make sense to have money invested in I series bond at this time (@2.2%) if you have a mortgage (ARM@ 3.25% )? why not just liquidate these bond and pay off mortgage. if composite rate rises above 3.25% then it makes sense to buy i series bonds . opinions ?
