Have you checked to see if there is a stable value fund available (sometimes called a guaranteed interest account)? Sometimes these are listed in a different place from the mutual funds. I don't have a SVF as an option. What are some of the the best vanguard tax-exempt bond funds for taxable accoun...

Follow up: we did call our insurance and they recorded it as an info only claim. It will not affect our insurance. My company's match: The company matches $.40 for every $1 you contribute up to 15% of your pay. So if I max out to 18k in 2015, the match will be $7200.

I am a GenX'er. I started saving for retirement in my 401k and Roth IRA when I was 22. Started saving 10% at 22 in my 401k and was able to max out my 401K at age 29 and have ever since.

Since my premiums are only $268/yr I plan to keep paying them until age 65. Then I guess it will be paid in full. I've heard then the policy could start paying me out like an annuity. I need to follow up and get more info about that from Northwestern.
