I keep a local CU checking account because it can be linked to my Ally account for easy transferring. I keep between anywhere from $300-$1,000 in this as it's easy accessible. 99.9% of my "cash" is at Ally which I joined thanks to Bogleheads. Do the same! :happy

Same age as you, saving for a house as well(hopefully will save enough for a cash only purchase). I keep mine in a 1% savings w/ Ally. Of course, I could invest this money but I like knowing it's "safe" and I still get a little bit out of keeping it at Ally.
