Re: Best places to stay/visit in Panama

We visited 3 years ago with 2 high school kids for 1 week or so. We spent 2 days in Panama city. If you are planning to stay there, I would recommend staying in Country Inn & Suites. It is right at the location where Panama canal meets pacific. Try to get a canal side room, the view is gorgeous - ov...

Dear bogleheads, thank you for your advice on this issue. It was really useful. To close out the issue, using your advice, I was able to get the phone number transferred to T-mobile easily. That was going to be a brief stop before changing to Cricket Wireless. However, I found the T -mobile deal att...

Wow, thank you folks. A lot of great ideas. I think Galveston is not a great idea. I agree. I will do some search in the various locations mentioned in FLorida. We thought about Caribbean destinations. But, they seem rather expensive for that time of the year. How is Cocoa beach area? Worth visiting...

Dear Bogleheads I am doing my taxes with TaxAct (yes, I know, very late this year). I have a brokerage account at Vanguard. I sold several positions last year. For most of my holdings, I was reinvesting the dividends back in the same stock. When I received the 1099B from Vanguard, I got two differen...

Re: Prepaid debit card to use in Europe?

Thank you for the suggestion on Travelex. I looked into it The current exchange rate is $1.07=1Euro. Travelex gives $1.17=1Euro.

Seems like the card has some good merit, but, I will keep looking some more to see if I can find another place with better rate.

Thanks,

THank you all. I tried to limit the speed to 2.4GHz, that didn't help. Googling for the problem yielded a lot of results, but, none very useful. I ended up ordering a USB 'N' adapter. I will give that a try when it arrives.

This is OP. Thank you for pointing out what I missed in my original post.

We would like to walk around, bike, visit parks, restaurants and bars. Don't want to do anything too exhausting. Perhaps be close to a beach. We love going to botanical gardens, so, that would be a big plus.

Thanks
