recharacterize and conversions are two different word with every different tax outcome. make sure you during Step 3: Wait a day, then CONVERT both tIRAs TO Roths (not recharacterize) . also when transfering into Tira make sure your money is swept into a fund such as their money market before doing C...

Re: Bank of America/Merrill Edge - Preferred Rewards

Has anyone done a backdoor Roth with Merrill Edge? Is it easy to do online? One of my frustrations with my old Wells PMA account was faxing in the Roth conversion forms every year... I'd also be interested in how they do conversions and recharacterizations. It looks like it might be harder than at ...

I don't think your husband is being truthful to you regarding where all the money is going, if what you're saying is fact. Also why have a condo in china, when you only visit once in 20 years? is someone renting that condo or is it just another money pit? if you are in this terrible financial situat...

Re: Borrow money to invest?

I would do it if you can afford the risk. 4 years ago my company was offering 2% loan to buy the company stock without going thru credit reporting company and payment was deducted from my paycheck. It was cheap money, I could afford the risk, and the stocks was paying 4% dividend. I saw it as essent...
