Paint vs. Stain on fiberglass door

Looking to install new fiberglass exterior front door. Door is unfinished shiny white and was wondering if there is a difference in painting it versus staining it. The manufacturers instructions says you can paint or stain the door, but does not give a preference. Love to know if any Bogleheads have...

Re: Auto Battery

Thanks for all the info contribution. I am always amazed as to the amount of technical knowledge shared by bogleheads. A few gave a clue as to what the problem might be. As I said my original battery lasted around 10 years but at that time I was working full time and driving over 100 miles per day. ...

Not sure if my current musing falls into this investment forum but for the life of me, I cannot figure...

Re: Distribution from IRA

I have been procrastinating about closing out my funds with relatively small balances. Since I began contributing to a Roth IRA my smaller funds never grew in principal. Having someone look over my shoulder gives me motivation to close out these funds. Thanks for the comments.

Distribution from IRA

I have been contributing to my IRA for over 30 years and in that time I have accumulated 6 individual mutual funds with Fidelity. Total value is around $700K. Approximately 80% of my investments are in the Growth & Contrafund with the balance in income funds. I will have reached the 70 1/2 year ...
