Fee per purchase of an ETF? Vanguard ROTH

I recently opened a Vanguard Roth IRA. I have contributed $5500 to it and did a three fund portfolio. I have about $62 left over and I was thinking about purchasing another VXUS ETF share, but I was wondering if I get charged a transaction fee per purchase. Would it be better to invest once or twice...

Hello all, I had a quick question. As we all know, the Dow has hit 20,000 which is both a really good and bad thing. I am highly skeptical of the markets right now, because they look eerily similar to the year 2000 (and we all know what happened there). I guess my question is, for a regular brokerag...

Hello, So I opened my ROTH IRA and I have that set in stone. Now I would like to open up a brokerage account to possibly purchase some ETF's and stocks with a little bit of money. Should(can) I do that through Vanguard? Or should I open a Scottrade account or something else? What would the fees/comm...

First timer! -- Critique/Best bond fund for Roth

What do you guys think about my allocation for my Roth IRA? All Vanguard funds: 60% Total Stock Market Index 15% Small Cap ETF 15% Total International index 10% Total Bond index I have little to no interest in target date funds, but my main concern is with the Bond Fund. Being that I have a tax defe...

Setting up my Vanguard ROTH IRA - 23 y.o. -- How many funds should I use?

I am 23 trying to setup my ROTH IRA for the first time. I want to contribute $5500 to last year (2016) before tax season this upcoming April. I was looking at a 6-fund portfolio and was wondering what some of you thought for a first timer like myself: Vanguard - Total Stock Market ETF (VTI) 30% Vang...
