unrealized short term gain/loss, unrealized long term gain/loss for each holding. If you sell shares with unrealized losses, you will realize a capital loss and there will be no increase to your AGI and/or taxable income. also, the charts helped me very much, i'll say again. because i can visualize how they are less risky then the Total Stock Market Index (coincidentilly, the fund i withdrew all my money from in 2008/09).
