Are the two cars comparable? Are you currently driving a Honda Civic and is the company offering a Mercedes, or you currently driving a Mercedes and the company offering to rent you a Honda Civic?

Ralph

I drive a CUV. Let's assume the rental is comparable. Not Audi's or BMW's, unfortunately

Advice on Mileage Reimbursement Options

I am taking a new position with a company that offers 2 mileage reimbursement scenarios. 1) Company offers gov't standard mileage standards (53.5 cents) with a cap of 2,000 miles/month. Within this $1070 monthly I would have to deduct my: Vehicle is a 2015 with 50k miles Car Payment- $427 Insurance-...

Re: Advice for 30yr old with limited knowledge-Calling all Bogleheads

For simplicity, you could go with the first 2 colored funds or add the 3rd for a 3-fund portfolio. Any/all of the others could be added if you choose, maybe later. This target fund is pretty expensive but Vanguard or Fidelity Index target funds would work in a Roth IRA. Total Stock market (or S&P50...

Run away from the fa before he gets any more of your money. If the money is for a down payment, it should be saved instead of invested. Although Mel loves midcap , that 1% er is sad. Consider dumping it altogether or use your ira for them. You could use 82% s&p and 18% small cap to approximate tota...

-would read boglehead guide to investing/getting started in my links -don't look at income, verify that your MAGI is out of range for Roth. Just looking at your 401k contributions, you should be able to contribute somewhat to Roth. -your 401k is unnecessarily complicated. I would get rid of the Mid...

Re: Selling A Semi-Valuable Vehicle

Craigslist is the way to go. Include lots of pictures and as much detail about the car as possible. You will have to sift through the "tire kickers" but you will get more $$ doing this than going to Carmax, etc. I would advise you to meet the potential buyer at a well populated area as well, don't a...

Re: Medical Device/Pharma Sales Reps?

I just moved from pharma to a smaller startup specialty diagnostics company and it's completely different. My friends that are still in pharma are constantly getting laid off, and squeezed out. Today I'm looking for some clarity and some knowledge moving forward, as I feel like I'm being pulled in many different directions. I just got done reading unshakeable (Tony Robbins), and ...
