Re: Can this air compressor be saved?

Thank you all. The compressor's cord was damaged, probably because it was undersized for this (mis)application. The heavy-duty cord was OK. I rewired the compressor with a "new" cord made using the male end of the heavy-duty cord and about five feet of cord from that. Works fine, grounded and all. A...

Can this air compressor be saved?

I unwisely connected my air compressor to what turned out to be an undersized 100-foot extension cord in order to power an air tool in a remote corner of our yard. The connection was as follows: normal 15-amp outlet (non-GFCI) | 25-foot heavy-duty extension cord usually used with the compressor | 10...

Anchor New Basketball System to Old Concrete

All, I was hoping to get a bit of advice from the experts. Our home has a concrete basketball base/footing 18" in diameter sunk three to four feet deep, and it does not heave in the winter, so it's presumably safely below the frost line. The previous owners cut off the tops of the J-bolts that presu...

Buy one. You can't get in the weeds like this. A few days ago I offered 90 minutes of free help to a less fortunate person in the middle of a very busy day, only to have him waste 45 minutes of the allotted time looking for the best deal on parking nearby. This kind of thinking will hold you back.

Thanks, all. My experience the last few weeks at other airports is that PreChek at off-peak times = no waits. How about clearing security at Terminal 1, and then transiting over to Terminal 3, if T3 has closed PreChek. Moving fast with minimal luggage that should work, right?
