New bed recommendations- disabled wife

Hi all, I'm looking for recommendations for a new bed. My wife and I are both very light sleepers. Also my wife has chronic Lyme disease which causes pain in her arms. So our current mattress which sags quite a bit is no good because it puts extra weight onto the arm that is leaning more in the cent...

Her ssn was not asked as I already had the cards.

Question about adding new wife to my credit cards

I recently Married and because I have better credit cards, I wanted to add my wife to all of my credit cards. When doing this, it seemed the only option was to add her as an authorized user. She received her own cards with her name on them. My question is – does her credit rating become the same as ...

Re: Newly Married, late 20s portfolio check up with questions

Wow just did some quick browsing and saw monthly prices at like $25 for 350k 30 years. Seems expensive because it would be 50 per month if my wife got it too. Is that what everyone else is paying?

Re: Newly Married, late 20s portfolio check up with questions

So we are currently renting and therefore do not have a mortgage. Does it make sense to hold off on life insurance until we get a mortgage? Not sure we want to have kids so we will plan five times earnings. I would still like to know your thought on the amount of time whether 20,25,or 30 years. One ...

Re: Newly Married, late 20s portfolio check up with questions

1. Actually 80/20 is probably sufficient now that I think about it. 2. No pensions. 3. If we both get term life insurance - how much do we need and for how long. We both get something through work for free but it's small like $10K. 4. We have disability insurance, however, they have denied coverage ...

Re: Dr. Charges Facilities fee of $300 - what should I do?

No procedure....just an office consult for 15 min.

Billing says it's because the Dr. was in a hospital facility.

If I fight or refuse to pay...they are just going to send to collections. I feel like I have no advocate or defined path to fight this.

Dr. Charges Facilities fee of $300 - what should I do?

So I recently saw a specialist and was billed at the normal specialist rate of a $50 co-pay. I then received a follow-up bill of $300 for a "facilities fee". I called billing and they explained that because the Dr. was in a hospital building, there is an additional fee. My concern is that ...

Re: Help with some important financial questions

Thanks for your feedback. 1. The rate is fixed at .99%. I guess based on your feedback I should continue to pay off the car for the next 2-years. Now that I have about 40K in my savings account, should I continue to save 30%/year for next couple of years - 40k would be sufficient for my portion of t...

whoops - good catch on the fiancee bit. Restuarants is a little high because I'm usually the one paying - but I agree I should try to cut back alittle here. Re: Yearly Expenses - How am I doing?

To clarify, these are just my expenses not counting what my fiancé spends. We do split certain things like she pays the energy bill and I pay the Internet bill. The auto insurance of 1k is for both cars so I am really only paying half of that. I wanted to focus just on expenses so I am not including...

Re: Used Car Purchase...Please Help

I drive about 10000 miles a year. This would not be a family car. So it sounds like most people are recommending until I can afford a new car or a used car that is only a few years old. I could keep my car longer. I have just been saying that for a couple of years now. The car is 16 years old but I ...

Re: Moving to Baltimore, advice on finding a place to rent?

For umms I would reccomend mt Vernon as you could walk to work. I have lived in Baltimore for 3 years. The only places you should consider are mt Vernon, fells point, canton, federal hill/otterbein , and maybe Charles village. I have Persially lived in federal hill, harbor east and fells point. Neve...
