So I just sold my 2008 Toyota Tacoma to CarMax. 109,600 miles.. TRD Sport Package, but 2WD (bought in Alabama and moved to Pennsylvania). It had been in an accident in December 2010 when I rear ended someone. $11k worth of damage to the front end. KBB private sale value on it in Good condition is $1...

Re: Job opportunity - increase in compensation but also much longer commute

Update - Recruiter called this morning and she got feedback from the VP and they want me on the team and they think I am a great fit. However, they need to get the position approved, and the VP is out next week, so it will be the following week (first week in August) before anything is official. We'...

Re: YouTube TV - Anyone used or currently using?

Will, how well does the DVR work? I've found that on PSVue it can be very clumsy trying to commercial skip, FF or rewind. Sometimes it work and others it gets confused, starts jumping around, etc. Have you had these issues with Youtube TV? Also, is there a guide and is the overall interface polishe...

Re: YouTube TV - Anyone used or currently using?

I've had it for almost two months now. I chose it because basically the only tv I watch live is sports and it has all the sports channels I want at the best price. No Turner though, so once March Madness comes around you'll be out of luck for the games on those channels. Have all the locals. I have ...

Re: Cutting the Cord: Who's Best?

Check out the YouTube TV offering. Haven't tried it but I remember it sounded compelling. . I have had YouTube TV for the last 6 weeks. The only thing I watch live is sports, and this has all the best collection of those channels at the best price. Has unlimited DVR also. Available in only a few ma...

Re: Job opportunity - increase in compensation but also much longer commute

I appreciate all the feedback. I've been assured they can be flexible with time and working a 6:30-3:30 or 7-4 is fine, and this is actually against traffic during rush hour anyway as it's further away from the city (Philadelphia). So I'm hoping it won't be too horrible. I did get some more feedback...

Moving isn't an option for multiple reasons (some being personal/family) - and even if it was, my living expenses would at least double.

Job opportunity - increase in compensation but also much longer commute

My employer went through a merger this past December. I have been with this company for six years. With the merger, my department was the first one restructured. In early February I was told that I really impressed another department and they want me on their team. I was led to believe this was goin...

Re: HDHP under deductible: out-of-pocket or through insuranc

As I mentioned, some providers will offer a discount when billing patients directly in an out-of-pocket situation, as opposed to billing insurance. Since it eventually all comes out of pocket, wouldn't that be cheaper? I wouldn't think the provider would offer you a discount greater than the one th...

Re: Emergency room consent

There is some confusion between "hospital" and "providers". If the hospital is in-network, this refers to the facility fees used to pay all the employed nurses, buy equipment, pay the utilities, etc. The doctors are not necessarily employees of the hospital, especially consultin...
