Hadn't thought of reinstalling my operating system. Hmmm? Are there any best practices out there? I don't want to be doing more work than I need to and yes I'd rather be safe than sorry. I wish I knew what Trojan Horse it was, but unfortunately I don't have record of it.

I have no idea which room in this house is the master bedroom. If I had to guess it would be the room with the 2nd closet. However the other room has three windows. Both are close to the same size. We chose the one with the windows.

I buy new tires every 6 years no matter how they look. I check around ... Consumer Reports, etc. to determine the tire ratings. I shop locally from places I trust and I buy fresh tires (recent dates). And I check my tire pressure monthly.

The one thing I can be sure of is that it isn't grease - we don't and haven't ever cooked with any. My diet precludes cooking or consuming anything with oil or butter. I had an electrician at my home recently and he was telling that he was glad he had a landline especially for 911. The reason? A landline can be found - kids and adults always know where it is - unlike a cell phone.

So, if I read this thread correctly, the consensus for NY'ers is to pay your property taxes early if the you receive a bill (and it looks like it will be for many), BUT it may not be allowed by IRS. If you pay early you haven't lost anything if you will fall under the standard deduction in 2018.

OP, I think it can be helpful to have an IPS for things like this. If you don't have one now may be the time to create one.

One idea: choose any day of the year, if on that day your AA is out of balance beyond your band percentage: rebalance. If not re-look next year.

My understanding after calling .... --- Apple's take is to patch the devices - they tell me as long as the client side devices are patched - that takes of the most critical issue. Do not assume that your Apple device will be updated. Does anyone know the manufacturer of a quality landline phone. I've purchased two in recent years - one no longer rings and the other has sound issues. While cell phones are terrific, I still need to have some good working landlines.

You can easily disable Flash in Chrome.

Settings / Advanced / Privacy and Security / Content Settings / Flash

and then block it.

Some important sites still run Flash - I turn it on when I need it and disable it immediately after.

The cost for furnace and air together has to be quoted by a salesman, but the technician was saying a furnace would go for $6500 - $7000 or so if I remember correctly. And the two together would be around $7500 - $8000.
