I would question wether you have to "hold harmless" the attorneys work. You paid him for his expertise. I may be wrong, but I don't think it is a court requirement. I think it is Attorney insurance benefiting him.

Deeds have no bearing on a REQUEST for a title search. You pay a standard fee for one. +1 about having your own title search done. Preferable before it is transferred to you. Yes, you can get title insurance even though a quit claim deed was used to transfer property. A search of the chain of ownership to the property will tell you if you have a "clean" title. The method of transfer has no bearing unless it was done incorrectly, and that is what the title searc...

Don't worry. You can easily live off your FERS pension without tapping your TSP. I know many people in the same boat as you that do just fine. They travel, golf, enjoy life and live well.

You are young so remember your AA. Your TSP still has time to grow after you retire.

I too had a stressful career, and at your age seriously considered leaving for a new career. I stuck it out and was glad I did. As time went one, I found my career cycled out of that low point and found new high points.

I think to some degree it is the natural flow of things.
