Don't do anything drastic. I would take the job with the 3 hour commute. Stay overnight at a hotel Tu-Th. Perhaps do a 9/80 or 8/80. SSA.gov's taxed S.S. earnings and tax return

I worked a 1099 job in 2016.
I filed a Schedule C-EZ.
I cannot figure what the SSA used to figure out my Taxed Social Security Earnings for 2016.
The number is close but not the same as what I reported on the Schedule C-EZ.

You ensure that the mom finds them by *not* moving them.
Watch over them and make sure they are safe from predators.

The Humane Society will not be able to help them. Contact a wildlife rescue.

I belong to a wildlife rescue.

Google this. it is clear what you should do.

The Humane Society or local animal rescue deal with domesticated animals. These rabbits are wild.

Contact a wildlife rescue if mom does not return.

I would suggest keeping Windows.

Defrag your hard drive.

LinuxMint let's yoiu try first before permanently installing.

Know how to get into BIOS so that you set your laptop to boot from USB and not from the hard drive.

I would install Linux and possibly add 1 GB to it.
You will end up with a nice secure laptop to use to log into all your financial account websites.

Take a look at Linux Mint with Xfce. It is lightweight desktop environment.

I have rented in NJ.
The OP is getting off easy for $3600 to break a lease.
Unless he has his entire family living in a studio apartment, the rent for a 2 bedroom apartment is not cheap. I was paying $1600/month 5 years ago.

I had Wells Fargo in NJ.

After about a year, I requested and received approval for removal of the escrow. I hated that I wasn't in control of paying my property taxes.

As others have stated, redeem to Fidelity's "core" account which is basically money market then transfer to linked checking account. One extra step.

I actually prefer this to Citi's 2%.
