Since you're financially dependent on your parents, what do they have to say about the matter? I believe their opinion counts, as long as you're living under their roof. Damaging your relationship with them would be far more costly than this debt.

This is a scam - a pretty old one too. These "use a heloc to get rid of your mortgage faster" schemes have been around for awhile and are not a financially viable way to pay down debt faster. I'm a banker and I've seen lots of versions of this, and I've never seen one that made any financial sense....

Don't waste your time with Windex, Invisible Glass, or any other cleaner. Seriously. Just use a two-cloth system and water: one cloth to scrub/wipe away the dirt, the second (microfiber) cloth to make it shine. It doesn't get any easier.

The second part is correct, if you've applied for 5 or more cards from any card issuer in the last 24 months you will not be approved regardless of how long the card has been closed or when you last received the bonus. May I ask why Geico will not sell you a policy?

Geico is known to reject umbrella applications if you have had an auto incident within the past few years. Phone reps can tell you if this is the reason and when you'd be clear to re-apply.
