Best cars for multiple kids

We're going to be having a third child in October and my wife doesn't really want to slow down lol :D Anyways, we currently have an explorer and an extended cab F150 that are working great for our 2.5 and 1.5 yr olds. But... not so sure how those will be with 3 kids. I saw someone the other day who ...

Re: Re-balancing question

If you have a business, then you can set up a small business tax-deferred plan. When I looked into a retirement plan for my office it seemed like it wasn't worth it after I had to pay to set it up, have some yearly fee and then have matching contributions for employees? It seemed like the reason to...

Re: Re-balancing question

Rebalancing is much easier in a tax-sheltered account (e.g. 401k, IRA, etc) than in a taxable account (which I assume is what you are speaking of here). This being said, why are all your savings going to a taxable account (that is, if my guess is correct)? I have some debt on my business still and ...

Re: Re-balancing question

Can you provide a specific reference? Because this doesn't sound quite right, rebalancing gains are typically quite low, one would typically rebalance to stick to his/her plan, not really to eke out a meaningful gain. Although I'm not sure what you truly meant since you're not very specific about t...

Re-balancing question

Hey guys super amateur question--- here it goes... but I get on a kick every now and then and peruse the forums and found something that talked about re-balancing can add about .35% to your portfolio if done once a year. Ever since I found this forum I decided to just buy Schwab's funds because I al...

Re: Robinhood ETF Purchase

Thanks so much for the replys! I did go and check it out and they are listed as Robinhood Financial, LLC on the finra and sipc sites! The only other app I have used is Schwabs and its okay but I really like the touch screen charts of the robinhood app where you can see prices as you slide your finge...

Robinhood ETF Purchase

Is there anything wrong with having purchased SCHB in my Robinhood account? I am mostly on my phone and not on the computer and I like the simplicity of the Robinhood app... and as far as I understand it there is no charge to buy the ETF there just like from a Schwab account. It's just not Schwab!

Re: Hiring kids to jumpstart their Roth IRAs

Hiring kids to jumpstart their Roth IRAs

Now that I have two little one's my wife and I are discussing how we could possibly hire them to get a jump on their Roth IRAs. I'm a dentist with 2 practices, she is an ER doc buying into stand alone ERs and we own commercial property that houses my offices and some rental spaces as well. Is it pos...

New to Bogleheads [3-Fund Portfolio]

Hey guys-- Like the title says- new to the forums- but enjoying what I'm reading immensely! Going to start a 3 fund portfolio with my wife to keep things simple :D I've been with Schwab in the past and she's with Morgan Stanley. Looking at expense ratios for similar ETFs between those discussed in t...
