Well, in every car I've ever owned there was a 1 quart difference between the underfill and overfill mark on the dipstick. For the CRV that measures 18 mm. We have the Levolor Accordia room darkening shades from HD and have been happy with them. They are advertised to block 90% of the light and they really do make the room dark, I'm not sure how much darker blackout could be.

I don't know about snow because we don't get any here, but wind, rain and clouds have never caused any signal losses for us. The new Dish receivers are advertised as being capable of recording 16 channels if that is important.

We have an 05 PT Cruiser with the 4 cylinder turbo. We're at 100,000 miles with no engine or turbo problems and have used regular grade gas and conventional motor oil exclusively. It seems silly to use premium gas if the manufacturer recommends regular.
