I'm dumbfounded as to why she's concerned about a deposit insured by the FDIC, and well under the insured limit. Just because there is a physical Wells Fargo nearby, it doesn't mean that your money is physically there, either. All they do is push paper and give you free coffee there.

As someone else mentioned, MoneyDance runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux. I used Quicken/Windows for 22 years until I got tired of things just stopping working. I now use Banktivity on a Mac.

I considered a full size domestic truck, but was concerned about LT reliability. I ended up with a Tacoma. Fits nicely in my garage and gets me to some pretty remote trailheads here in Colorado. The shorter wheelbase is better in the outback.

I use a VPN most of the time. I don't like Comcast listening in. My VPN, Private Internet Access, blocks ads and malware. It isn't perfect, so I also use UBlock. But in testing, PIA seems to get most.

I just transitioned from Quicken/PC to Banktivity on a MacBook Air. Quicken's reporting feature was a bit stronger, but Quicken evolved into such a bloated mess, I don't miss it (or Windows) a bit.

I have found that waterproof trail running shoes are adequate (the benefit being less weight than big boots) for most places where snow is not expected. I just bought a Brother BW Wireless Laser duplexing printer. It does not do color. But as far as brands go, I am very happy with it. It has never disappointed.
